Variety is the spice of life & freelancing

One of the things I love about being a designer is the variety, it keeps my creative brain busy and not bored! I love that I also have a different range of projects with my part-time job designing websites. My recent freelance work has been a lot of fun and offered some new challenges too (which is always good!), so I wanted to share some examples.

Hello Bio is a start-up business made up of researchers and scientists supplying affordable life science tools. In terms of ethos they offer a fresh approach and were keen to portray a bright, positive image in their design. One of the projects I’ve worked on for them is this scientific pathway diagram for use on a promotional pen. (Logo and website design are not my work)

The West Essex Fashion Fair run regular luxury shopping events in support of charity. The next event is 2nd December, in aid of Haven House Childrens Hospice and Rhys Daniel Trust. I have worked with them on creating a flyer for a few previous events and this time they wanted something a bit different with striking gold and black.

The Gables are a local, family run car garage selling used cars. I’ve been working to create a professional, modern and cohesive look across their web graphics and various paperwork such as invoices.
I worked with their existing colour palette of red and blue, introducing neutrals with two shades of grey.

Completely different, I’m sure you will agree! What is one thing you love about having your own business or freelancing?
